Connor MacLeod
Born in the year 1518 and raised as a member of the clan
MacLeod ( a Scottish clan from Loch Shiel, in the town of Glenfinnan, Scotland ), Connor
MacLeod fought alongside his cousin Dougal and Uncle Angus in the the Battle of Loch Shiel
in the year 1536. It was at this battle that Connor first clashed with the Kurgan. Connor
was unaware of his own immortality at the time. However, the Kurgan knew only too well. He
made a pact with Murdoch Frasier, of the clan Frasier ( the MacLeod's enemies ). The
Kurgan would offer his services as a warrior in exchange for the right to kill Connor
MacLeod. The Kurgan's plan was to behead Connor, before he was old enough or ready to
engage the Kurgan in a battle for the Prize. During the battle, the Kurgan succeeded in
mortally wounding the young MacLeod. However, before he could take MacLeod's head, the
Kurgan was attacked by other members of the clan MacLeod.
After the battle, Connor's body was taken back to Glenfinnan and given last rites.
However, miraculously, MacLeod was resurrected and his wounds healed. It should have been
a happy day for all of the MacLeod's .....but it was not. Connor was quickly condemned as
a demon and was beaten by his kinsmen in public. Before they had a chance to burn him at
the stake, His Uncle Angus intervened on his behalf and instead convinced everyone to
banish him from their village.
From there.......he wandered to another village......and settled down with his first wife,
Heather. He lived a happy and peaceful existence, until it was intruded upon by Juan
Ramirez. Ramirez was the first to reveal to Connor the nature of his Immortality. From
then on.........he trained Connor in the art of sword- fighting, till he was ready to face
the Kurgan, again.....at the Gathering.*
Connor MacLeod is portrayed by actor, Christopher Lambert ( "Subway",
"Knight Moves", "Fortress" ).
